In-Flight Meals
Much has been written about in-flight meals, you either love them or hate them.
We love them and everything about them: they are free(we are talking long haul flights here),
alcohol is usually involved (ditto on the long haul), the dinky little trays and containers are irresistible,
There is the suspense of discovering will the cutlery be metal or plastic? Will the napkin be cloth or paper?
Will the wine be served by the glass or by the bottle?
Will the glass be glass? You can eat in your lap in front of the TV. Need we say more?
In October 2008 when we embarked on an a trip to take iNCOMMUNiCARDO to the world,
we decided to make a pictorial record of the meals we were served throughout the trip.
We sometimes forgot to take the photos, however we did learn two things:
firstly, In-flight meals don't photograph well and secondly, bread rolls are well out of their element at altitude.

| Destination | Airline | Comments | The Meal |
| London-Delhi | Finair | There was food but the 'free' champagne distracted us. In economy champers is a pay for item. |
|
| Delhi-HK | Cathay Pacific | Plastic cutlery and glass, plenty of food. | |
| HK-Beijing | Dragon Airlines | An ice-cream was served for dessert. Bread roll was a shocker. | |
| HK-Tokyo | Japan Airlines | Very neat, as you would expect. A bit if everything, washed down with Japanese beer. | |
| Tokyo-Singapore? | Japan Airlines? | Not sure about the origins of this one. | |
| Singapore-Sydney | Qantas | Look closely at the paper cup to see the flying kangaroo.. | |
| Sydney-Christchurch | Qantas | Qantas again, plenty of wine served with this one. | |
| Lima-Quito | Lan Airlines | To be fair it was only a short haul. The wrapper contained a caramel chocolate, they still served wine. | |
| Quito-Buenos Aires | Lan Airlines | What can we say about this one? | |
| Buenos Aires-Peurto Iguazu | Via Bariloche (Bus Company) | It's not a flight, but to our joy and delight, if you book a cama coche(sleeper bus), not only do you get a huge reclining arm chair, meals and wine are served. | |
| Curitiba to Paranagua | Scenic Railway | Ok, so it's not a flight either, they still feed you. It did de-rail (a bit) and we were served beer for our trouble. | |
| Rio-Heathrow | BA | Even Photoshop could not fix this one! | |
